Over the past few years the benefits of meditation have truly come to the forefront. It can help boost your immune system, improve concentration and reduce anxiety. Though at its core, meditation is something much more simple. Psychology Today describes meditation as:

quite simply mental hygiene: clear out the junk, tune your talents, and get in touch with yourself. Think about it, you shower every day and clean your body, but have you ever showered your mind? As a consequence, you’ll feel more clear and see thing with greater perspective.

Meditation also gives you the opportunity to have clear internalcommunication. For example you may have a self belief that you are ‘bad with money’ but through meditation you will see that it is not so, that these beliefs are not permanent. Some crystals can also aid with this process.

If you would like to, meditation also gives the opportunity to connect with the spiritual realm and gives your inner light a chance to shine!

Why crystals?

Whether you are just beginning with meditation, or are more seasoned, meditation with crystals can bring new energy to your practice. They are an excellent aid for meditation – their energy, colour and form helps to quieten your mind and enter a sacred space.

When we are meditating our minds and bodies are in a different state. This heightened stated allows us to interact with the crystals in a more powerful and meaningful way. We can also set intentions and receive guidance through the crystals during meditation.

How to meditate with a crystal

Find a comfortable place to sit where you are unlikely to be disturbed. Place your crystal in front of you, or hold it in your hands. Breathe gently and focus on the crystal.

Let the crystal tell you about itself, let its energy flow to you. While in this space, take note of any guidance or messages the crystal may have for you.

If you are setting an intention with the crystal do so at this point. This will help you attract your desired outcome and boost your drive for the goal.

When you are ready bring yourself back into the present moment.
